Half of OC has home-price declines. How did your ZIP do?

April’s median selling price was higher vs. a year ago in only half of Orange County’s ZIP codes, according to Attom data.

Among 82 local ZIPs with sales, prices increased in the past year in 41 and decreased in 41.

The priciest ZIP was Newport Beach 92661 with a $5.7 million median. Cheapest? Santa Ana 92701 at $447,000.

Sales were up vs. April 2024 in 39 ZIPs, decreased in 37 and six were unchanged. The busiest ZIP was Laguna Niguel 92677 with 70 sales.

Overall, the $1.19 countywide median was up 0.4% over 12 months. Total sales of 2,216 were a 0.4% increase for the year.

Look at the ZIPs, ranked by price and divided into three …

Priciest: $2.1 million average, off 0.2% in a year, with 714 sales, off 7% in a year.

Cheapest: $850,000 average, off 4% with 575 sales, off 3%.

In-between: $1.2 million average, up 5% with 927 sales, up 8%.
